Our Services

Complex questions rarely have ready-made solutions.

We help organisations understand what is complex, create the conditions for sound decisions, and turn understanding into meaningful change. Our work can begin in different places. Sometimes a question needs to be explored first. Sometimes people need to come together. Sometimes there is already a clear direction, but it needs to be put into practice.

Beneath the surface. Between us. In practice.

Beneath the Surface

When a question needs to be explored before it can be resolved. What first appears to be the problem is not always what needs to change. Through analysis and deeper inquiry, we explore what is actually happening, which connections, perspectives and values are at stake, and what needs to be understood before the next step can be taken. We draw on different analytical perspectives and sources of knowledge depending on the question. This allows us to make visible what might otherwise remain unseen and create a stronger foundation for sound decisions and meaningful change.

Complexity analysis

When a question is difficult to define or understand. We draw on different analytical perspectives depending on the nature of the question, exploring connections, structures, perspectives, values and underlying assumptions to make visible what needs to be understood before the next step can be taken. Examples: complex change, organisational challenges, conflicts, strategic questions..

Ethical analysis

Some decisions involve values that come into tension. We identify the ethical questions, make the values at stake visible and explore the trade-offs involved in reaching well-grounded decisions. Examples: prioritisation, new technology, health and social care, policy, governance.

Preliminary studies and inquiries

A well-grounded decision sometimes begins with looking more closely at the question. We conduct relevant research and analysis, drawing on current scientific and experiential knowledge and different perspectives to provide a well-grounded basis for the work ahead. Examples: new ventures, organisational change, complex decisions, development initiatives.

BETWEEN US

When people and perspectives need to come together for a question to move forward. Complex questions often hold different experiences, forms of knowledge, values and views about what needs to be done. We create structures for dialogue where these perspectives can come together, be explored and tested, with the aim of developing deeper understanding and a shared direction. When a situation involves conflict, ethical dilemmas or difficult decisions, we help make the question possible to talk about, understand together and bring towards decisions that those involved can stand behind.

Facilitated dialogue

When different perspectives need to come together for a question to move forward. We design and facilitate structured conversations that create space for listening, reflection and shared understanding. Examples: change processes, working groups, cross-professional collaboration, complex organisational questions.

Conflict resolution

A conflict sometimes needs to be understood before it can change. Through structured dialogue, we explore what the conflict is about and what lies beneath what has become visible. Those involved are given space to listen to one another, understand different perspectives and identify together what needs to change. Examples: team conflicts, difficulties in collaboration, strained relationships, conflicts following organisational change.Konflikthantering

Moral deliberation

When there is no obvious answer, people need a way to think things through together. We lead a structured process in which participants make values, perspectives and arguments visible and examine them together. The aim is a considered decision that those affected can understand and stand behind together. Examples: ethical dilemmas, prioritisation, decision-making processes.Moraliskt delibererande

IN PRACTICE

When decisions and knowledge need to become real change.

Change takes shape in contact with everyday reality. We support organisations in putting decisions, knowledge, technology and new ways of working into practice, with attention to how they affect people, the organisation and the values at stake. We bring scientific knowledge together with experience from practice and keep relevant guidelines and quality requirements close to the work of change. Where everyday reality does not fully fit within existing guidelines or decisions, well-grounded judgements need to be made, shared, followed through and reviewed. We also pay attention to unintended consequences and create the conditions for learning, adjusting and developing the change over time.

For us, change is not complete when the plan has been implemented. It is complete when the organisation can sustain it, understand its consequences and continue to develop it.

From decisions to practice

From decisions and knowledge to practice that works. When new guidelines, research findings, technologies or ways of working are introduced, we help organisations understand what the change requires in practice. We analyse the conditions and potential consequences for people, ways of working and the organisation, and support implementation, follow-up and adjustment. Examples: implementing research and guidelines, introducing new technology, changing ways of working, policy implementation.

From idea to a functioning organisation

When an organisation needs to develop, but the solution is not yet clear. We help organisations develop structures, ways of working and models based on their specific needs. This may involve defining goals and principles, developing new ways of working, or creating models for areas such as quality, ethics, knowledge sharing and decision-making. Our work draws on scientific knowledge, professional experience and the organisation’s actual circumstances. Examples: organisational development, quality improvement, strategic development, new ways of working and models.Från idé till fungerande verksamhet

Building the capacity to act wisely

Creating the conditions for people to think, communicate and make better decisions together. We develop practical capabilities in ethics, dialogue, facilitation and humane communication. The focus is on situations where different perspectives, values and experiences need to come together — and where the quality of the conversation shapes the outcome. We train employees and leaders and can also develop structures for continuous learning within the organisation. Examples: ethics training, ethical decision-making, dialogue and facilitation, cross-professional learning, humane communication.

How we work

We do not start by choosing a service.
We start with the question.

Together, we explore what needs to be understood, what needs to be brought into dialogue and what needs to be put into practice. We then shape the approach that best responds to the situation. An engagement may involve a single intervention or develop into a longer-term collaboration.
